I give City of Gold Apartments the highest recommendation. From working details with Avi before we departed, to arriving in our beautiful apartment without the hassle of checking in, it was a pleasure dealing with C.O.G apartments. The apartment was in a great location in the heart of Rechavia and was at a great price. Our family would have had to rent 2/3 rooms in a hotel, which would have tripled our cost! The apartment was clean, newly renovated, and comfortable. Thank you for making our trip so worry-free and enjoyable! We look forward to renting again next time!
We definitely enjoyed the apartment. The location is great and we loved having Angel bakery across the street. We loved everything about the apartment. I will definately be in contact in the future.
My wife, adult daughter, and I stayed in the 17 Sokolov apartment for ten days in May. We were very happy with our choice. The apartment was spotless, quiet, comfortable, and in an excellent location, steps away from a pleasant and child-friendly park on rechov Sokolov and easy walking distance from the Old City. The kitchen was well equipped — both chalavi and basari — to cover our needs. This apartment was a great find.

My family has stayed in two apartments, both excellent locations. The apartments were spotless and well equipped with necessities and more. After years of staying in hotels, this is definitely the best way to spend time in Israel. It can be intimidating to think about renting an apartment.. but we knew any assistance we needed, be it medical, transportation, dining, shopping, etc. was just a phone call away . Having your own place with space to gather with friends and family is a real plus over staying in a hotel. It is really nice to have a “vacation” feeling and a comfort feeling of having a full kitchen to use ( and a washer and dryer!!!). It is the best of both worlds. Can’t wait to rent again! thank you
We, a family of 6, stayed at the Washington Street apartment in August, ’11 for a week. It was GREAT!! So much better than a hotel, the location was perfect, Avi & Arielle were very responsive, the flat was in very good shape…it was like having a home away from home. We would absolutely stay there again and strongly recommend it to others. Beware…the onstreet parking has meters and the police don’t cut you any slack. All in all, a great place to stay, no question.
We stayed at the Sokolov Apartment in February. It is a great apartment which filled our needs – both size wise and location wise. We would definitely stay there again.

We had an amazing time during our stay in this apartment. It is well located on the edge of Rechavia and is convenient to so much of Jerusalem (both to walk and drive/take buses). The staff was VERY accomodating and helpful. We would highly recommend this company.
We have rented from Avi Goldberg twice. The first time -summer 2010 – we rented the 5-bedroom apartment on Lloyd George. We were there with extended family. The minute we got there we felt as if we lived there. The location was great, around the corner from dozens of kosher restaurants and convenient to the Old City and town. There was plenty of room for everyone to hang out, plenty of sheets and towels, facilities to invite 20 people for dinner, everything for a much more reasonable price than a hotel. We loved it. Summer 2011 we again had a family wedding, with less relatives this time. We rented an apartment in Talbieh, a fantastic location a 20-minute walk to the Kotel, again for much less than a hotel. We will definetely use avi again.
Apartment was in excellent location and was comfortable, clean, and all appliances in good working order. Avi was wonderful. He met us personally and went through the apartment. We had one issue with the internet connection and he came by and personally resolved it within one day. If you are interested in an apartment stay in Israel, this is the man to go with…
Everything was ready for Pesach upon our arrival. Even down to the amenities. Great location. Great apartment. Great managers.
My personal thoughts are that Avi Goldberg is a really awesome manager. It is a tremendous act of kindness that you (or your wife?) greet your guest upon arrival to the apartment. After a long trip it seemed so pleasant. Thank you. This is so much better and warmer than the key under the mat. The way you took care of the minor inconveniences (like I didn’t know how to operate hot water)–and the speed was truly amazing. Your clients ought to appreciate the highest level of dedication you have to the properties. But enough about Avi, the manager. The apartment is in a beautiful neighborhood. It was meticulously clean and actually very well- appointed. It was spacious and pretty, with nice decorations, and a variety of books left by the owners for us to read. The WIFI is faster than I have in the US, and as I came to work,a s well as “play”, this was important to me. (Again, Avi provided passwords, and waitied until I could get online, and then repeat,…..but enough about him). Having rented in Jerusalem several times over the last 7 years, I can only say that there will be no looking elsewhere; whatever City of Gold/Avi have is where I would stay.
